About

Somnium is a 24 voice chamber choir made up of emerging professionals of the Manchester choral scene, sourced from recent graduates and current students across the cities universities. The choir has existed in its current iteration, with Alanis Dalledone as our Musical Director, since 2025 and aims to provide a space for aspiring singers to develop from the high standards of their university choral experiences to the professional world, using performance experience of innovative and interesting repertoire. We bring a distinct energy and carefully crafted sound to all of our events and look to collaborate with local communities and choral societies, as well as emerging professional composers, artists, and technical experts wherever possible.

Our 2026/7 season is about to commence, with more exciting projects in the works than ever before. Applications will be released soon, but in the meantime if you have any questions at all about the innerworkings of our space for passionate individuals and community choral connections, please don't hesitate to get in touch via email at somniumchoirmanchester@gmail.com.
